The Ottawa Recreation Commission has suspended all operations and will remain closed until at least March 30th. This includes closure of the Goppert Building, and suspension or postponement of programs including all adult sports, fitness programs, as well as youth and senior activities.
The ORC will be following the CDC’s recommendations of limiting activities with groups of 50 or more participants. As such, the ORC’s Youth Spring Soccer season has been cancelled. participants will be given two options–refund or transfer of funds to another program.
The ORC will be in touch with all participants via phone or email within the next 48 hours.
During the suspension of operation, ORC staff will focus on cleaning, maintenance, and handling any administrative work including that associated with the closures and cancellations as well as future program planning and implementation.
