Governor Laura Kelly closed all public school buildings in Kansas for the rest of the school year, and USD 290 is formulating a plan to move to online learning. With so many kids relying on school for breakfast and lunch during the day, many are asking what can be done to help feed the kids? With the federal guideline for food service so strict, USD 290 superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says it’s a complicated matter.
The Ottawa food service, OH-PA, is putting a plan together and will present it to the Ottawa school board at Thursday night’s meeting. Dr. Cobbs says he will have details of the plan, if approved, soon after.
