If you recently got a speeding ticket or other citation from the Ottawa police, the current COVID-19 crisis may have affected your court date. Ottawa police chief Adam Weingartner says for the time being the municipal court is closed.
Weingartner says the entire court district is shut down until circumstances improve. Weingartner says also says citizens should understand that police will answer all serious calls as normal. A temporary electronic form is expected to be unveiled soon for the reporting of minor incidents.
