Franklin county employees will have some extra financial support should they become victims of the COVID-19 crisis. County administrator Derek Brown asked the county commission to approve a new leave policy.
The county commission approved the new policy unanimously. The new policy will run through August. Officials say laid-off employees will likely also qualify for unemployment compensation.
