A flood plain in Ottawa may become the site of dozens if not hundreds of construction workers building a new pipeline for Southern Star in Anderson and Franklin Counties. Community Development Director, Wyndee Lee, says an empty tract of land along 9th and 10th Street along Lincoln Street, may be the ticket, although certain requirements will have to be observed:
Lee says the owner of the land would have to notify tenants to be ready to move to higher ground should a flood situation require it. The workers are expected to be in the area for four to six months.
