The Nation has a major shortage of a lot of things right now and one of those things is hand sanitizer. When word went out to the nation’s distilleries for help, Daryl Klietz at Buck U Distillery in Ottawa, says it was a “no brainer”. He says the chance to give back to the Community sent them into a frenzy to convert the still to make sanitizer. He called the World Health Organization and they sent him their formula. From there it was a matter of getting supplies needed. Less than five days later, Buck U now has a batch ready.
Klietz says they are selling two sizes. One he calls a “Bullet” which is the size needed to get a person through about a week. The other, called a “Bomb” is for facilities with larger needs like hospitals, EMS and Fire Departments. It takes from 2 to 7 days to produce a good batch.
