Douglas County has issued a Stay-at-Home order beginning today.  The County joined the KC Metro Counties in the order.  The Douglas County Health Officer issued the “Stay at Home” order last night and is in effect until April 23rd, unless otherwise changed.

The Douglas County Health Officer, Dr. Thomas Marcellene, says we have to slow the spread of COVID-19 and minimize the impact on the Community.  He encourages full community cooperation.

The order says vulnerable populations including the elderly and those with underlying health conditions must stay at home.  During this time all community members should stay home except to perform essential duties for business continuity or government functions, to get food, care for relative or friend, get necessary health care or perform activities related to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  We know you hear this constantly, but, the threat is real and it is extremely important to heed the warnings from officials.
