With the issuance of the statewide “Stay At Home” order by Governor Kelly, there was some confusion concerning who is impacted and who is deemed essential.  U.S.D. 290 Superintendent Dr. Rayan Cobbs was quick to respond to dispel the confusion pertaining to education.  In a statement released shortly after the Governor’s announcement, Cobbs says the Stay At Home Order still exempts schools in section 9-B to continue their process as specified in the previous order.  This means that U.S.D. 290 will kick off the continual learning plan as planned, starting tomorrow.  The District has also been given the authority to continue providing meals.  He added that these services are vitally important to the Community and they have served over a thousand meals in just one day.
