The Kansas Department of Health and Environment gave an update on the COVID-19 pandemic yesterday afternoon.  As of yesterday at 2:00, the number of cases in Kansas has risen to 482 with 10 deaths associated with the virus.  There have been 114 hospitalizations reported.  Franklin County cases are at eight.  Douglas County with 31, Osage with three, and Linn County with 5.  Anderson and Miami Counties have nor reported cases as of this afternoon.

KDHE Director Dr. Lee Norman says we are not doing well with social distancing, based on data from UNACAST Tracking Services.

Franklin County received a grade of “D” minus!  NOT GOOD!

He emphasized the fact that Kansans have to take this seriously and many appear not to be.  Franklin County Health Director, Midge Ransom,  and County Health Officer, Dr. Bud Ransom, will be on KOFO this morning discussing the affect COVID-19 is having on our community and what we need to do to stop it.  Tune in at 8:00 for that conversation .
