The Kansas Department of Health and Environment gave an update on the COVID-19 pandemic yesterday afternoon.  The number of cases in Kansas has risen to 698 with 21 deaths associated with the virus.  There have been 172 hospitalizations reported.  Franklin County has 9 cases, Johnson 185, Douglas 32, Miami 2, Linn 5, Osage 3 and Anderson County still has no reported cases.  Across the U. S., as of yesterday, there are 277,205 cases with 6,593 deaths.  Most people are recovering from the illness.

Franklin County Health Officer, Dr. Bud Ransom, says people in Ottawa need to take the Stay At Home Order much more seriously, and those that are not could be potentially infecting others.
