The topic of vendors occupied a relatively brief Ottawa City Commission Study Session, with the coronavirus pandemic as the backdrop. City Attorney, Blaine Finch, and Commissioner, Eric Crowley, discussed a request from City Staff that licenses for door to door vendors be suspended:
The Commission decided by consensus to temporarily suspend any door to door licenses, but took no action on mobile food vendors. Other Commissioners noted that selling food out of a truck is the same thing as a restaurant selling food in a drive-through.
