If you notice the lights on at Ottawa High School’s Steve Grogan Stadium tonight, there’s a good reason. Ottawa is joining schools around the nation in honoring the senior class of 2020 by turning on the lights. The lights will come on at 8:20 every Friday from here on out and remain on for about 20 minutes. With school out and graduation ceremonies cancelled or postponed around the nation, this is one way the school have chosen to honor the seniors. So if you are driving by a stadium around the area tonight or any Friday night and see the lights, think of this years class and remember what they have gone through and continue to go through.
