The slow speed chase that wound its way through the streets of Ottawa for over and hour has finally come to an end.  Stop sticks were deployed in two different locations and flattened three of the tires on the vehicle.  Authorities from the Ottawa Police Department, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Highway Patrol, as well as a Highway Patrol Helicopter all engaged in the chase.  Authorities allowed the driver to make his way through city streets, blocking off intersections and entrances to businesses.  He made his way south down Main Street.  Police funneled the vehicle east down Kingman and Nebraska and authorities were able to apprehend the man just before 2:00 this afternoon.  The name of the man involved in the pursuit has not been released and no details of the incident, such as where and when the actual pursuit began, or why the man was on the run from authorities, are available.  KOFO will have details of what started the incident, what charges the man may face, and any other information about the case as they become available.
