The Kansas Department of Health and Environment gave an update on the COVID 19 pandemic yesterday afternoon.  The number of cases in Kansas has gone up to 1,986 with 100 deaths associated with the virus.  There have been 405 hospitalizations reported.  Franklin County remained at 12 cases, Johnson County reports 377, Douglas 43, Miami 4, Linn 5, Osage 4, and Anderson County still has no reported cases.

The Franklin County Health Department has announced that all 12 positive cases in the county have recovered.  However, City Manager Richard Nienstedt, says it’s important not to get complacent and let our guard down:

Those thoughts were backed up by KHDE’s Dr. Leer Norman.  He says the curve is starting to flatten and urged all Kansans to continue to follow all the guidelines Health Officials have put in place.
