Just who will be the new Director of the Franklin County Health Department apparently is up in the air. County Administrator, Derek Brown, says the position is still open, this came about after the previous director, Midge Ransom, voluntarily removed herself from the position, effective April 13th. Brown says some functions of the Health Department’s COVID Response Functions are now being managed by EMS and Emergency Communications Director, Nick Robbins, however, Robbins is not the new Head of the Health Department. Brown did not provide any reasons for Midge Ransom’s departure, saying only he has no further comments on the matter.
