With the COVID 19 pandemic spread pretty much all across the State, a few Counties have not had a positive test so far. Anderson County is one of those Counties. At a recent Garnett City Commission Meeting, City Manager, Chris Weiner, told Commissioners that he finds the fact that no cases have been found, remarkable, considering certain conditions:
Weiner noted they took steps early on to help curb the spread of the virus, including restricting access to Senior Centers and the Anderson County Hospital. He also says Garnett and Anderson County are ahead of the State and National averages when it come to completing the Census information. He stresses that if families have not completed it yet, to please do so quickly.
