The demand for hand sanitizer has skyrocketed in the past couple weeks, many distilleries in the area, including Buck U Distillery in Ottawa, have converted their stills to make sanitizer. That means a huge need for ethanol. That has suited the East Kansas Agri Energy Plant in Garnett just fine. KOFO’s Jeff Brewer has more:
Pracht noted that he expects hand sanitizer to be in high demand for quite some time and he says the plant will be there to meet the demands, as long as the need is there. An, as of yesterday, Anderson County still has no confirmed cases of COVID 19.
