Policy changes are the new norm in all public and private facilities these days. At the Franklin County Jail, inmates are used to having several classes taught and other program coming in for other services. However, Sheriff Jeff Richards says the majority of those extra services have stopped since the COVID-19 crisis began

He adds that the visitation process has moved to a video conferencing format that is done from visitors homes, not in the lobby of the jail. He says programs will resume as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.
