If projections are correct, tax revenue for the State of Kansas will fall off the cliff in the coming months and years.  The Kansas Legislative Research Department, yesterday, published an estimate that projects the State will lose over a billion dollars over the next two fiscal years, due to the coronavirus.  For the current fiscal year, the agency reduced tax estimates by over $800 million, and for the 2021 fiscal year tax projections were reduced by over $400 million.  Kansas Governor, Laura Kelly, yesterday also announced several cost cutting moves to adjust for bleaker income estimates.
