The 2020 Census is underway and Anderson County Officials say the County as a whole is a bit behind where they need to be on completing the Census forms:
As of yesterday, Anderson County is at 58.2%, Garnett is at 62%, however Colony is only at 37%, Westphailia at 36%, Greely at 30%, Kincaid at 19%. Statewide, the census return rate is at 58.6% and nationwide, it is at 53.2%. So, Anderson County, in general is ahead of those numbers. It’s very important for all households to be counted. Every household missed means the County could miss out on over $50,000.00 in Federal money for highways, schools and more.
