If you have had a court date the last several weeks, you’ve seen they have been postponed. The COVID 19 crisis forced the courts closed to help stop the spread of the virus. Franklin County Attorney, Brandon Jones, says the longer the crisis continues, the more backlogged the court cases will become.
Jones says some court cases can’t wait. He cited Child in Need of Care cases and a few others. Some of those are being done through video conferencing until restrictions are eased.
