The Miami County Health Department is asking residents to complete a survey that should shed more light on how many people in the region are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19. Health officials plan to use the results to seek out residents who are currently symptomatic. Those who volunteer to be tested will be able to utilize a new drive-through community sampling clinic set to be established locally by the Miami County Health Department. Officials emphasize that the survey is not intended to replace medical care or advice from a medical professional. Miami county health officer Christina Beer says the survey can be found in several locations, including Facebook, county websites, school districts and local media. Each member of the family needs to complete the survey.
A drive through testing center will be set up soon for residents who want to be tested. The location has not been finalized but will be in the Paola area. You can find the link to take the survey on the maim county health department Facebook page, all school district websites and county websites.
