The Franklin County Commission met Friday morning to discuss Governor Kelly’s phased reopening of the Kansas economy and how it will apply to the County. Though they had the power to invoke stricter guidelines they chose to go with Kelly’s policies. One area of concern is the term Mass Gathering and how the order is worded. County Administrator, Derek Brown, gave his interpretation of the State’s definition:
Phase One of Kelly’s Reopening Plan will remain in effect until May 18th. At that time she will decide to enter phase two, easing restrictions even more or extend Phase One until public health concerns are addressed.
