Many local and area businesses and organizations have been hit pretty hard during the stay at home order. Some have closed for a while, but others are trying to stay afloat offering different types of services for their customers. Hope House in Ottawa has seen a huge increase in need of food during this time and last week, the shelves were pretty bare. Then, they put out a call for help, and director Mary Lois Yates says people responded.

She adds that the need for food will continue for quite some time and encourages anyone who can to donate as they serve the needs of the people of franklin county. Hope House is just one of many businesses and organizations in the area doing extraordinary things in these extraordinary times. If your organizations or business…a restaurant, specialty shop, church, would like to get the word out about what you have to offer and have the opportunity to let people know what you have to offer, you can!  Call KOFO between 11 and noon every weekday for the “out to lunch bunch”.
