As we enter Phase One of Governor Laura Kelly’s plan to reopen the Kansas economy, the number of COVID 19 cases is still on the increase in Franklin County and around the State.  Franklin County has one new positive case, bringing the County 17, 13 which have fully recovered.  State wide the number has gone over 5,000.  The Governor says it’s important to remember that the plan is not etched in stone, but is in place to provide predictability, and is subject to change at any moment.  She stresses that Kansans continue practicing all safety guidelines stressed the past several weeks:

Many local businesses are beginning a reopening phase today.  Some, like barbers, salons and Community Center must wait until the second phase on May 18th.
