The Lawrence Douglas county public health department gave out a survey to see if residents experienced two or more symptoms related to covid-19, from April 28 to May 1. Out of the 8,559 Douglas county residents who responded only 167 of them reported they had two or more symptoms. These symptoms include, fever, dry cough, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, abdominal pain, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, sore throat, headache, fatigue, runny nose, rash, shortness of breath, or pressure in the chest. The Lawrence Douglas county public health staff encourages anyone experiencing symptoms to contact their primary care physician. They remind you to call first before showing up at a provider.
