Franklin County now has 29 positive cases of COVID 19 after receiving three now positive and 63 negative test results yesterday. The County is currently awaiting results from 41 tests with several more tests to be completed with thorough investigation of each new positive case. The new positive cases are all male – a child under the age of 10, one in his 20’s and one in his 60’s. All three cases are related to a previous positive case and all are completely asymptomatic, showing no signs or symptoms at this time. Health officials are calling on people to wear masks in public. Franklin County Communications Director, Kaci Brady:
As we move through Phase One of Governor Kelly’s Reopening Plan, it is important to reduce the number of new cases occurring. The only way to do that, officials say, is to continue to follow the Social Distancing and hygiene guidelines that have been in place the last several weeks.
