The past few months have been very stressful on our Nation and with high stress comes depression. Depression is a very serious condition that can overwhelm people if they are not aware of its symptoms and treatments. The K-State Extension Office has resources available to help people in need. Their goal is to connect members of the community to the resources that are available. Marais Des Cygnes Extension Agent, Cathy Gour, says there are some things people can do to get help:
She adds that there are multiple ways to get help, including the Statewide 24 hour Help Line, 211, that can provide help, and locally, the Elizabeth Layton Center can provide Counseling and treatment options.
