An accident sent an Independence woman to the hospital about 8:00 yesterday morning. A vehicle driven by 21 year old Tristan Crocker of Lawrence, was traveling westbound on Sand Creek Road when he failed to yield the right of way at the Old 59 Highway intersection. Thirty year old Richard Minsky of Lyndon, was northbound on Old 59 when he collided with Crocker’s vehicle. A passenger in Crocker’s vehicle, 21 year old Kierra Streeter of Independence, was transported to Advent Health Ottawa by Franklin County EMS for treatment of her injuries. Crocker was cited for Failure to Yield at a Stop Sign.
