Another victim of the Covid 19 Pandemic! A huge event that draws people from all over the United States to Ottawa has been cancelled. The Over the Road Gang voted, in last night’s meeting, to cancel this year’s “Ol’ Mary River Run”. After a long debate, the decision was made to ensure the safety of everyone. Former Over the Road Gang President, Ed Clark, says they were going to have trouble guaranteeing help from groups they had in the past, such as the Central Heights FFA picking up trash and Police Officers from other cities providing security:
The Annual Car Show draws over 2,000 cars from all over the midwest and is a big economic boost for the area hotels, as well as local restaurants and businesses. This will be the first time since 1986 that the Car Show will not fill Forest Park in September.
