American Eagle has done a lot to support the City of Ottawa during the past few months. During the shutdown they provided over $100,000 in meal purchases to restaurants in town, gave $50,000 to the City toward Relief Loans and Grants for Small Businesses that suffered financial loss and most recently contacted the Chamber of Commerce and purchased $29,000 in Chamber Bucks to give to their employees to support local business. Coen says many businesses in town are still struggling a bit, while others say they re as busy as ever. He believes it will be a while before the Economic Activity in Ottawa gets back to a so-called normal.
