Franklin County will remain in Phase Three of the Governor’s Reopening Plan for the next couple of weeks.  A spike in positive COVID 19 cases in the County have prompted Health Officer, Dr. Bud Ransom, to hold off moving into Phase 4.  As more and more opens up, the caseload rises.  The County has not seen any deaths related to the virus, however, Ottawa City Manager, Richard Nienstedt, says it still is a tough thing to deal with:

Franklin County reported 8 more positive cases yesterday, bringing our total up to 65.  Nienstedt and County Health Officials are urging people to continue to practice all the things you have heard about stopping the spread of the virus.
