This is Census Week in Kansas. The United States Constitution calls for a Counting of the Citizens every 10 years to access where needs are. As of last week, Ottawa’s response rate to the Census was 114th on the list of Kansas Cities. Ottawa City Commissioner, Clabe Jorgenson, says results of the Census is important:
Franklin County, as a whole has a response rate of 68%. Everyone is encouraged to complete the census and be counted.
