A decision has been made regarding fans in the stands at Ottawa University Fall Athletic Events. In a decision released this morning, OU Officials say only those holding valid Ottawa University ID Cards, which includes students, faculty and staff, will be allowed into athletic events held on campus in the month of September. Strict mask and health screening protocols will apply.
Athletic Director, Arabie Connor, says she realized this may be disappointing to the families of the student athletes and the local OU fan base, however, it is being done to provide another level of safety for the student athletes. The University plans to re-evaluate the spectator policy on October first and periodically there after. They ask for patience and understanding as they strive to make the Ottawa Campus a safe environment.
