With the cancellations of the Kansas State Fair this year, many people, including officials at the fair, were disappointed that many Kansas products would not be showcased. The Kansas Department of Agriculture has launched the Purple Ribbon Market Place, an online store featuring an incredible array of Kansas made products. Clothing, honey, salsas, cheese popcorn, jelly sauerkraut and other products are on the new website: purpleribbon.fromthelandofkansas.com. Search “Purple Ribbon Market Place” to find the site. You have the chance to shop for these products, just like you were at the fair. The Market Place opened Friday and will only be open until the 20th of this month. “From the Land of Kansas” is the State’s trademark program that promotes and celebrates agricultural experiences and products grown, raised or produced in Kansas.
