As cases of COVID 19 continue to increase across the State, Governor Laura Kelly is emphasizing the importance of wearing a mask and avoiding large gatherings to combat the spread of the virus. The State is very near having 50,000 total cases since the pandemic began. Franklin County reported only one new positive over the weekend. There are 16 active cases in the County with one hospitalization. With Fall coming and flu season approaching, Governor Kelly says it’s time for Kansas to come together:
There are three types of flu shots available this year. One designed for older adults, age 60 and over, another for kids, and a third for everyone else. Shots are available now at the Franklin County Health Department, or talk to your doctor about getting your shot soon.
