The Lake Region Resource Conservation and Development is going to be able to hold their Annual Adopt A Bike Project after all. Franklin County Commissioner Do Stottlemire says the program was in question this year:
Over the past 20 years the organization has teamed with Ellsworth Correctional Facility to refurbish broken and unwanted bikes and return the bikes to the Six Lake Region Counties: Anderson, Franklin, Coffey, Linn, Miami and Osage. Nearly 9,000 bikes have been donated and 4,200 have been returned.
