A reminder for those wanting to use the Prairie Spirit Trail today. The bridge over the Marais Des Cygnes River will be closed today through Friday, as Public Works crew do maintenance on the bridge and the surrounding area in preparation for a levee inspection. The gates on both sides of the walking and riding bridge will be closed until that maintenance is complete. City Officials expect the bridge to be back open no later than Saturday morning. They thank you for your patience and understanding for the inconvenience and assure that the safety and well being of all travelers across the bridge is being taken into consideration.
