Remember the “Coolest Thing Made in Kansas Contest” we talked about last week? The top 16 nominated products have been released and an Ottawa company has made the list! The Kalmar Ottawa Tractor Terminal is now eligible to compete for the top prize, being named the Coolest Thing Made In Kansas.
The Kansas Manufacturing Council wanted the contest to highlight the State’s Manufacturing Industry. The Top 16 will compete in weekly head to head matchups and the products receiving the highest number of votes in each match will advance to the next round. So, how do I vote for Kalmar, yau may ask? The public can vote once a day, starting today, for their favorite. Go the the website, “kansaschamber.org/coolestthingmadeinkansas” a vote once a day. The product with the most votes advances to the next round. Voting is open, but closes Monday. The winner will be announced during the Kansas Manufacturing Summit on October 6th at the Kansas Star Casino.
