COVID 19 has struck Ottawa University Athletics. Yesterday, OU reported a football player and a baseball player, had tested positive. Three other football players have been tested. OU says, out of an abundance of caution, the University has placed the entire football team under quarantine until September 26th. Campus President, Dr. Reggies Wenyika, says the safety of the students, the campus and the community as a whole, is first and foremost. As a result, OU has postponed the next two football games. The home football game with Sterling Saturday and the road game with Kansas Wesleyan on the 26th will be rescheduled.

The University has also taken the same steps with its baseball team. This quarantine will be in effect until September 29th. The team is out of season, so, it will only be an interruption in practice and conditioning.
