The Franklin County Health Department reported another large increase in COVID cases yesterday. There are 16 new cases since Friday, giving the County 42 active cases with 68 pending test results. The majority of the new positive cases are under the age of 25 and one is under 10. Officials at the Health Department want to emphasize the importance of social distancing and wearing a mask. Governor Laura Kelly agrees:
Local Health Officials say one of the keys is to wear the mask properly. It is very important to wear it over both your mouth and nose. Not wearing it over your nose does little good. They add that its time to get back to the basics, including frequent hand washing, for at least 20 seconds at a time and using hand sanitizer.
