Last week, a new memorial was dedicated in Washington, D.C.. It honors the great legacy of a great Kansan, Dwight Eisenhower. It is situated near the Smithsonian’s Air and Space Museum and features three bronze sculptures of Eisenhower that represent important phases of his life: his boyhood in Abilene, his time as the Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces during World War II and, his time as the 34th President of the United States.
