The expense of installing a possible Solar Farm near Proximity Park is giving the Ottawa City Commission some financial heartburn. Concerns about costs may be putting the brakes on entering into an agreement with Evergy for the installation. City MangerRichard Nienstedt says the City needs to examine an already existing Solar Farm in Baldwin.
The cost of the facility would depend on the exact specifications, but estimates range in the millions of dollars. Further study is expected.
