The power of Social Media recently presented itself locally, turning a bad thing into a positive response. A theft from the Franklin County United Way Offices left Director Leigh Hanson asking the public for help in replacing what was stolen. As soon as she discovered the theft, she announced it on Social Media and the donations started flooding in:
The food taken was stocked for kids who don’t have lunches and the computers were used for running the robotics classes for middle and high school students. Hanson says she is so thankful for the people of Ottawa for responding is such a positive way.
