Missed deadlines and price gouging on repair of the Ottawa High School track and field were two issues that took up a good part of the Ottawa School Board Meeting recently. During one exchange, Board Member Harold Wingert and Jeff Porter of Astro Turf, the company doing the work, exchanged views on price gouging:
District Officials have indicated they will seek what are called “Liquidated Damages” from the contractor due to missed deadlines and other factors. Still, all in all, Officials say quality of work of renovating the track and field is very good.
