The Franklin County Health Department released the latest update on COVID 19 in the county yesterday. There have been nine new cases since Monday and there are currently 46 active cases and four people hospitalized. The Department did say that a previously reported case has been taken off our counties list, as the person lived in another county. Kansas Health Secretary, Dr. Lee Norman, says the spread of the virus in rural counties is expanding:
Franklin County has seen a total of 328 cases since March. Statewide, the case count topped 55,000, however, Norman says the hospitalization rate has dropped considerably across the state in the past two weeks.
