Miami County Court Officials have announced that the Miami County District Court System Operations will be limited until October 5th, due to COVID 19 exposure. According to the Miami County Republic, a recording at the County Clerk’s Office says Court Hearings are still being heard by video conference and Clerks will be filing cases and processing documents. People with questions about cases should contact their attorney and those without legal representation can contact the judge in the case. The recording says that due to limited staff, calls may not be returned until the next day.

Chief Judge, Amy Harth, posted a message on the Courthouse doors letting people know that she realizes the issue may have created hardship for some people, but she has to consider the safety of the public and the staff. She says she hopes to be back to a normal level or operations on October 5th.
