Head Start has been around for nearly 50 years in Ottawa. You may have heard of it, but do you know what it is. The program, through ECKAN is a comprehensive preschool program focusing on school readiness for children. However, they don’t just help kids, help is available for the entire family. Head Start Director Clara Cox, says Head Start can give opportunity:
It’s not too late to get you kid in Head Start this year, as well as get your family involved. If interested, there are qualifications to get in. Call ECKAN on Monday and they will walk you through those qualifications and determine if your family is eligible.
