A big meeting tonight for the USD 290 School Board. Tonight, Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs, will present what he is calling a “Reintegration Plan” to get Ottawa kids back in school, full time, in person. Ottawa High School Principal, Kelly Whitaker, says it will be a phase in plan:
Cobbs says the first few weeks of school has shown the District can safely operate and the Franklin County Health Officer has given approval. He adds that officials are very aware of the hardships that the Half Day Hybrid Model created for most families.
The tentative plan is to begin with elementary students on October 14th and after a week or so, middle school students, the high school students on November 9th. Full details will be presented at the Board Meeting on Monday.
