Could a clue to where the next COVID 19 outbreak occur be hiding in wastewater? According to the Kansas Secretary of Health, Dr. Lee Norman, it is. He says the state is looking into wastewater surveillance:
He says the KDHE is ramping up collection of wastewater samples around the State, with the help of KU Engineering, taking samples from all 95 of the County Seats of Kansas’ Rural Counties, so they know when and where to mobilize resources to combat the virus.
